Creation Process

Launching a Token (Token Factory)

The Basis Token Factory empowers anyone, from established businesses and DAOs to individual creators, community leaders, and AI agents, to launch their own custom-branded Basis Token (Stable+ to Yolo) without requiring any coding knowledge. The process is simple, intuitive, and has no platform fee today: you pay network gas.

Launch Process Overview

  1. Discovery/Idea: Creator or agent identifies a use case for a token
  2. Planning: Decides on the token's family (Stable+ to Yolo), gathers branding assets
  3. Creation: Uses the Token Factory DApp, fills in details, deploys token (pays gas)
  4. Presale (optional): Promotes token, monitors presale purchases
  5. Open Trading: Token actively trading; the creator earns the creator fee once it is set
  6. Management/Growth: Tracks analytics, uses loan facility, engages community
  7. Revenue Realization: Claims fee rewards, takes loans against token holdings

Launch Process Breakdown

Step 1: Wallet Connection

  • Navigate to the Basis DApp on Robinhood Chain.
  • Connect a Web3 wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet).
  • Make sure the wallet holds enough ETH for gas (Robinhood Chain gas is paid in ETH).
  • If the creator wishes to purchase their own token during the presale, they will also need the pair asset of the token's main (USDG on the first main) or the main token itself (STASIS).

Step 2: Token Factory Details

Within the Basis DApp, access the Token Factory and provide:

Token Type: Pick a family on the dial: Stable+ (H100, up-only), Utility+ (H50 to H90) or Floor+ (H1 to H40) with a rising floor, or Meme+ (R50 to R10), Yolo+ (R90 to R60) or Yolo (R100), which play like memecoins. At R100 the supply is fixed and the floor stays at the launch price. The dial runs 1-100 on chain.

Token Name: The full name of the token (e.g., "My Awesome Community Token").

Ticker Symbol: A short, unique symbol (e.g., "MACT"), typically 3-5 characters.

Token Description: Brief explanation of the token's purpose or utility.

Token Image/Logo: Upload a square image (PNG, JPG, SVG) as the token's visual identity.

Optional Social Links: Website, Telegram, Twitter (X), Discord, etc.

Starting Liquidity: how deep the token opens, from 10% to 1,000% of the standard depth (deeper means each trade moves the price less). It is not deposited capital, and the creator pays nothing for it.

Presale Size: how many tokens are sold before the token trades freely. Set by the creator; it can be zero.

Optional: Freeze Token. Enables whitelist management before public trading. A frozen token needs a presale.

Optional: Auto-Vesting. Vesting for presale purchases, 1 to 990 days.

Optional: Holder Rewards. On a rewards token every holder earns a share of the token's rewards fee in proportion to the tokens held, paid in the pair asset of the token's main and claimable at any time. The share follows the token when it is sold or transferred. The choice is permanent.

Step 3: Deployment

  • Review all entered information.
  • No platform fee today: you pay network gas.
  • Confirm the transaction in your Web3 wallet. Once confirmed on Robinhood Chain, the token is live.
  • In the app, every token starts at 1.00 of its main's pair asset ($1.00 on a USD pair). The app offers no custom start price.

Step 4: Token Live, Presale Begins

  • Upon deployment, the new token is listed on the DEX, paired with the main it was created on (STASIS in the first deployment).
  • If a presale size was set, the presale opens; otherwise the token trades freely at once. Either way it opens at the launch depth the creator chose.
  • Users (including the creator) can begin purchasing. Presale buys are priced the same way as later buys, and every trade lifts the floor.

Step 5: Fair Launch, No Pre-Allocation

  • Creators cannot pre-mint tokens or allocate supply to their own wallets.
  • If creators want to hold their own tokens, they must purchase through the DEX like everyone else.
  • This aligns creator incentives with their community: creators earn from volume, not dumps.

Step 6: Post-Launch

  • Analytics dashboard for tracking volume, holders, and fee revenue
  • Dev Panel access: Unfreeze, Dev Tax Sharing, Whitelist Management
  • Creator fees arrive in your wallet with each trade; holders claim their rewards at any time
  • Take loans against token holdings (100% LTV for Stable+)

For AI Agents

Agents can create tokens programmatically via the SDK. Connect a wallet, install the SDK, and launch in three API calls. Agents earn what every creator earns: the creator fee they set (up to 1% of every trade) and 20% of the loan fees on their token, revenue that directly funds compute costs.
