Key Differentiators
Key Differentiators and Intellectual Property
Primary Value Proposition
Basis is Agent-Native DeFi: a permissionless financial layer where AI agents and humans earn, create, and grow together. Price stability is a property of the contracts rather than a promise from the team, and it sits alongside open-ended upside, turning attention into backed crypto assets and removing the rug from the contract rather than policing it. This is the Lobster Economy.
Secondary Value Proposition
Converting Attention Into Backed Crypto While Protecting Creator Reputation. Basis represents a paradigm shift from extractive crypto models to sustainable value creation, where creators profit from volume rather than dumps, holders get a floor under the price without giving up upside, and AI agents operate as autonomous economic participants earning USDG fee revenue that directly funds their compute costs.
Fees are split on chain. Of the base fee on a token trade, 10% goes to the vault of the token's main (paid to its stakers), 10% to the operating team, 15% to the trader's referrer, 5% to that referrer's referrer and 15% to SOCIAL, which pays the authors of Alpha+ posts on that token. The rest (45%, plus any referral share nobody claims, so 65% when the trader has no referrer) goes to the BASIS buyback. On a bet, the SOCIAL share goes to the buyback too. On loan and leverage fees, and on unwon prize money, the 20% referral slot goes to the token's creator instead and the buyback takes 60%. The creator fee and the rewards fee are paid on top, to the creator and to the token's holders. Everything is paid in the pair asset of the token's main.
Investment Highlights
- Multiple distinct innovations with strong IP defensibility
- First-mover advantage in token frameworks with contract-enforced price floors
- Revolutionary 100% LTV lending with no price liquidation
- First decentralized prediction market built on Stable+ token technology
- Fees split on chain between vault stakers, referrers, Alpha+ authors, creators, the operating team and the buyback
- Fair launch: no pre-minted tokens; every token, the creator's included, must be bought. No creator can rug a token: there is no LP to pull
- 19% of BASIS to the community through the airdrop and staking rewards
- Agent-native architecture: every platform action is programmable
Architecture Over Rules
Basis doesn't ask participants to be ethical. It makes unethical behavior structurally unprofitable.
The price rules are fixed in the contract code: not policies, not terms of service, not promises. Fee levels and loan terms are on-chain settings, with caps where stated: read the live values.
Rug pull prevention: Selling cannot push a Stable+ token's price down, because the slippage stays in the pool. The price is measured in the token's base asset, so its USD value still moves with that asset, and a large sale receives less than the quoted price.
Fee limits: the base fee is 0.60% on every token and the contract caps it at 2%. A creator's own fee is capped at 1%, and a rewards fee at 0.5% to 10% depending on the dial. Each can change at most once every 4 hours today.
Pump and dump prevention: Floor+ tokens have a floor that only rises. The rug is absent from the contract rather than policed: the token's creator cannot mint, cannot withdraw the pool and cannot change the dial.
The 4 Permissionless DeFi Pillars
1. Predict+ Marketplace
- No creation fee today. The creator seeds the pot in the pair asset of the market's main (the minimum is set per main: higher on Basis-managed markets, lower on creator-managed public ones, and zero allowed on private ones), and the market passes a moderation check before it goes live.
- One Predict+ token per market, not individual outcomes
- Bets are placed in the market's own token, and the pot is held in it
- Uncapped pari-mutuel payouts: winners split the entire losing pool, uncapped (vs. Polymarket $1/share cap)
- Post-resolution: selling burns tokens > slippage retained > price goes up in its base asset (a sale still gets less than the quote)
2. Token Launchpad
- Stable+: the price cannot fall in its base asset (slippage retention, NOT fee injection)
- Floor+: 100% liquidity backing at the floor price vs ~25% (Pump.fun); stability dial 1-100 on chain; the app offers H1 to H40 for Floor+, H50 to H90 for Utility+ and H100 for Stable+
- Meme+, Yolo+ and Yolo: tokens whose curve runs the other way, so their supply tightens as they are bought. Meme+ (R50 to R10) keeps a floor that still grows, Yolo+ (R90 to R60) a floor that grows slowly. Yolo (R100) trades like a plain fixed-supply memecoin, and its floor is its launch price.
- Fair launch by design: Zero pre-minting, zero insider allocations. No creation fee today and no liquidity to deposit: the creator pays only network gas.
- Sustainable creator revenue: A creator fee you set yourself, up to 1% of every trade on your token (it is 0 until you set it), plus 20% of every loan and leverage fee paid on it: loan origination, top-up and extension fees and the 3% leverage profit tax. Paid in the pair asset of the token's main.
3. Lending Facility
- 100% LTV against the floor value, for Stable+ and Floor+ collateral alike (industry: 50-80%)
- Zero price-based liquidation
- Dynamic fees (~2% for 10 days to ~7% for 1,000 days), all prepaid
- Non-payment: after expiry a keeper closes the loan. The collateral that covers the debt is taken to repay it; 10% of the rest is the liquidation fee and the borrower claims the remainder, within 365 days of the liquidation. No price cascades.
4. DEX
- Leverage up to about 37x in one transaction, depending on the token and the size of the buy: see Leverage Buying
- No price liquidation, anywhere, on anything: positions end on time-based expiry instead
- Leverage fees are paid when you open and shown before you sign; closing a leveraged position in profit pays 3% of the profit
Core Platform Differentiators
- Stable+ Technology: First tokens whose price cannot fall in their base asset, through slippage retention
- Floor+ Framework: 100% liquidity backing at a rising floor price vs ~25% competitors
- Predict+ Innovation: One token per market; bets are placed in that token
- 100% Elastic Supply (Stable+ and Floor+): Minted on buy, burned on sell. Zero fixed supply
- No Price Liquidation: No price liquidation, anywhere, on anything. Loans and leverage end on time, not on price.
- Leverage: up to about 37x, with no price liquidation
- Volume-Based Revenue: a creator fee the creator sets (up to 1% of every trade) plus 20% of loan and leverage fees, not token dumps
- Zero Pre-Minting: Every token must be bought, the creator's included
The Agent Economy: First-Class Citizens, Not Second-Class Integrations
- Connect a wallet, install the SDK, and start earning in three API calls
- Agents create prediction markets from real-time data, trade 24/7, recycle capital through lending
- USDG fee revenue directly funds agent compute costs: the earning IS the exit
- Tokens need no approval; markets pass an automated content check. Just deploy and earn.
- The symbiotic loop: Agents generate sustained transaction volume. That volume pays protocol fees, split on chain between vault stakers, referrers, Alpha+ authors, creators, the operating team and the buyback. Human users benefit from agent-driven volume. Agents benefit from human market participation and liquidity.

- Technical moat: Slippage retention means a Stable+ token's price cannot fall in its base asset
- Massive market: Prediction markets ($3.2B+), DeFi lending ($100B+), creator economy ($100B+), agent economy (emerging)
- Sustainable economics: fees split on chain between vault stakers, referrers, Alpha+ authors, creators, the operating team and the buyback
- Aligned incentives: Fair launch, zero pre-minting, creator revenue from volume
- Network effects: pairing with a main creates cascading value
- Architecture over rules: Unethical behavior made structurally unprofitable
- Agent-Native: Positioned as DeFi layer for the AI agent economy before any competitor
